What is it?
The tiny flavour bombs produced by small evergreen trees that are native to, and prevalent in, Asia. Kumquats, which have been called the "little gems of the citrus family," are a staple of Chinese New Year celebrations. In China, just before the start of the lunar new year, kumquat trees are placed outside the doors of homes and businesses to attract good luck and prosperity.
