WOMEN slashed their spending on credit cards from pounds 713 to pounds 499 per person last year, claims Virgin Money.

The survey found that the celebs they admired most were Big Brother host Davina McCall, followed by Catherine Zeta-Jones Silver Rings Jewellery and Sharon Osbourne.
Virgin Money's Scott Mowbray said: "Despite the drop in overall spending, women still feel pressurised to emulate celebrity style.

"While its nice to treat ourselves, we need to keep our quest for perfection in perspective and live within our means."
